Overview

⁉️ Problem:

Affyn needs a new way for the investors to utilise their tokens in exchange for rewards in real life and metaverse, so that they will remain in the ecosystem.

🔎 Opportunity:

A loyalty rewards platform that allow users to perform a simple action to earn points that can be converted to Fyn tokens, so that:

  1. Introduce a new way to earn Fyn token and other rewards
  2. We can acquire more new users through Fynatic
  3. Increase user retention through rewards and gamification

✨ Impact:

  • Fynatic Beta App is successfully launched with 11% increment in Fyn token value after launch.

  • Recapture trust from Fyn token holder

Led the design team in brand strategy, design system, UI & UX design, user research, prototyping, usability testing & sprint planning

Design Process

User Research

The research was divided into two key categories: Fyn token holders & commercial users. This is to identify each challenge and opportunity from these groups:

  1. A preliminary survey was conducted with the token holders to find out their spending behaviour and rewards might attract them
  2. A secondary research was done based on average users to find out their main actions taken across loyalty reward and e-com apps to earn points.

Persona

1. Lifestyle User

These type of users are in their 20s, they shares about her life on Instagram daily. She loves food and travel, she would take a picture and share it as story or reel.She is also uses platform like Shopback or credit card for cashback.

2. Token Holder

Token holders are the tech savvy users hoping to utilise their tokens through Fynatic to earn points and level their NFT membership card and use them to buy lands in Metaverse!

3.Merchants

Merchants are the rewards provider, they are looking for more consumers to know their brand and wanting to bring them into their ecosystem through Fynatic.

Problem Statment

As a merchant, I am trying to understand consumer's spending behaviour, because I want to bring the right crowd to my store.

Opportunity

  • A receipt scanner to allow users to earn points in exchange for rewards
  • So that the system can collect data to better understand their spending preference
  • Finally, we can bring the right audience to the right merchants on the platform

Problem Statment

As a merchant, I am trying to attract new consumer and retain the existing ones, so that I can increase the revenue of my business.​

  • A loyalty reward system that allow users to earn more points every time they return
  • User personalisation, we store users’ preference so that we can recommend relevant rewards for them in the future
  • Limited rewards to be exchange to prompt urgency and exclusivity

As a merchant, I am trying to retain my customer, so that they can return to make another purchase.

Opportunity

  • A membership program to promote retention
  • Points multiplier to be earned by returning customer
  • Gamified membership card that contains mini games and to be sold on OpenSea as NFT

Ad System & Merchant Platform

Problem Statment

As a small or new merchant, I am trying to promote my business to new consumers, so that they can learn about my business;

As a merchant, I want to manage all my advert and rewards in one place.

Opportunity

  • A loyalty reward system that allow users to earn more points every time they return
  • Ads to promote new business and limited rewards to be exchange to prompt urgency and exclusivity
  • A merchant platform to allow merchant to upload their ads and rewards

Look & Feel

Merchant Platform

Merchant platform can be used by two different type of users: Admins and Merchants.

  1. Admin can use it to:
    Onboard vendors once the Sales team has closed a deal with them.
  2. Track the Merchant or transaction ID to extract data or resolve any restriction issue with the merchant
  3. Generate invoice for merchants

 

On the other hand, merchants can use the platform to:

  1. Upload their Rewards
  2. Set Rewards details like start, end date, quantity and points to redeem it.
  3. Purchase Ads from the platform to promote their business.

 

Branding & Logo Design

I have conceptualised and built the brand guideline, logo and design system for the MVP.

Taking inspiration from Affyn theme, I decided to stick with the gradient colour scheme and using glassmorphism and a lot of transparent components to create a futuristic and 3D feeling.
