Illustration speaks louder
Creating a visually communicative design with story telling.
Since I was a kid, I have always been attracted to children’s storybooks with unique, imaginative pictures that filled my childhood with imagination. I swear I could read these for hours and hours.
While I am a big fan of reading, both fiction and non-fiction, I have always thought that storytelling would be better told with pictures, illustrations or just simple drawings.
Most people are visually communicative beings, subconsciously, we tend to learn and get most of our information from what we see and experience. Graphs help illustrate the visual of the data we are studying; Scientific illustrations were used to give us a better idea of how things should look in real life.
Illustrations play an essential part in how we communicate through the medium. It can be used to distil complex messages or add a touch of whimsy, and illustration is one piece that tells a story in a much more powerful way.
As an illustrator
I taught myself in creating art and illustration back then in college. I was inspired by many artists who pursue happiness in doing arts. Since then, I have always carried a notebook to scribble my idea onto papers whenever and wherever.
I have huge passion in designing characters and illustrations in games. I have since started to work on some personal projects, including creating card games.
I believe that drawing illustrations have always meant something special in my life.
